New Cultural Center | Columbia, MD

Mixed Use Development
Project Manager and Project Engineer for the renovation and expansion of a multi-use arts facility in downtown Columbia, including an existing dinner theatre renovation, two new black box theatres, education and gallery spaces, five levels of mixed-income housing, an outdoor sculpture/event space, and a nine-level parking garage. Oversaw structural design across foundations, composite steel framing, braced and moment frames, post-tensioned slabs, concrete shear walls and flat plate systems, and a five-story wood residential structure, coordinating closely with geotechnical engineering to address challenging soil and rock conditions and evaluate ground improvement options.

Paca House Renovation | Baltimore, MD

Affordable Housing
Project Manager for redevelopment of a historic three-building Volunteers of America Chesapeake housing campus in Baltimore City, including two additions with vertical and horizontal expansions. Oversaw structural design for a five-story wood building over a one-story basement with light-gage bearing and shear walls, a four-story wood building over a composite steel transfer level, moment frame analysis, masonry shear and retaining walls, and foundation analysis, while coordinating new framing with existing building conditions.

Elms Fells Point | Baltimore, MD

Mixed-Use Residential
Structural Engineer for a waterfront mixed-use development in Baltimore’s historic Fells Point, featuring a three-story wood-framed vertical expansion over an existing warehouse and new five-story wood-framed construction on existing foundations after partial demolition. Mid-Rise New Construction
Project Engineer for a stepped seven- to 14-story residential light-gage structure over a steel transfer level, with two levels of underground steel-framed parking. Provided engineer-of-record and panel engineering services including design of light-gage bearing and shear walls, optimization of transfer framing and connections for high forces, site visits and field solutions, crane tie-in detailing at the eighth floor, selective re-design to remove structural walls, and preparation of construction documents. Oversaw construction-phase services for the project.
