New ESTA Standards Approved and Published

McLaren is honored to have contributed to the development of the first technical standard in North America for performer flying systems, which was recently approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)! McLaren's very own Bill Gorlin, Vice President of Entertainment, was the chair of the task group from the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) Rigging Working Group who developed this standard.

McLaren was retained by the Hudson Scenic Studio, Inc., a scenic fabrication and automation company, to review and analyze all mechanical and structural components of a 60 feet tall Glockenspiel-Style Clock Tower. The Shanghai Disney Store is the largest Disney retail location in the world and the first Disney Store to have an outdoor plaza and clock tower.

Keeping Fashion Week Safe

Over the last few weeks, McLaren has been providing structural engineering support all over New York City for Fashion Week 2016. McLaren’s Entertainment Division has been hard at work reviewing tent structures, rigging installations, and seating risers at multiple locations throughout the city; to support shows for many designers including Alexander Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and Marc Jacobs.

McLaren Opens Downtown Albany Office to Serve Capital District Clients

Albany, NY – February 10, 2016 – McLaren Engineering Group, a full-service engineering firm with eight divisions, announced today that it is opening its newest office at 5 Clinton Square in downtown Albany’s Patroon Building to serve its growing roster of public and private sector clients. The Capital Region Chamber and the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) held a ribbon cutting today with Mayor Kathy Sheehan, County Executive Daniel McCoy and other regional leaders to celebrate the new office.
