High Line Moynihan Connector Construction

New York, NY
Provided construction engineering for a 600-foot elevated pedestrian pathway connecting the High Line, Moynihan Train Hall, and Manhattan West. Scope included structural coordination, erection/constructability support, and specialty bridge engineering.

Florida State College Health and Wellness Trail Bridges

New Port Richey, FL
Provided bridge, structural, and construction engineering for three new timber-framed pedestrian bridges along Pasco-Hernando State College’s mile-long Health and Wellness Trail. We designed the bridges, foundations, piles, framing, abutments, and connections across drainage ditches leading to stormwater retention ponds, with the three spans totaling approximately 600 feet.

Greenpoint Landing Pedestrian Bridge Construction

Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY
Supported the amenity pedestrian bridge truss framing at Eagle + West within the Greenpoint Landing waterfront development. We provided erection means and methods, rigging design for large truss members, steel connection design, structural and vibration analysis, and staged construction modeling to help the bridge framing remain stable through each phase of erection.

Skybridge at JPMorgan Chase

Jersey City, NJ
Served as Specialty Structural Engineer for the steel fabricator on a second-floor skybridge connecting two existing JPMorgan Chase buildings over a private garage access road. We provided delegated connection design, erection and rigging logistics support, and solutions for AESS requirements, structural fatigue concerns, movement demands, and tight existing-building constraints.

Belvedere Castle Geothermal Renovations

Central Park, New York, NY
Provided civil, geotechnical, and pedestrian bridge engineering as part of the restoration of Belvedere Castle in Central Park. We designed ADA-accessible pedestrian pathways through steep terrain, supported drainage and utility improvements, developed new pedestrian bridges in the area, and inspected existing walls to determine whether additional support was required.

Rail Trail Design-Build – Maybrook Portion of Empire State Trail

Hopewell Junction and Brewster, NY
Engineered the 23-mile Maybrook Trailway connector, repurposing a former Metro-North rail corridor into a 10-foot-wide shared-use bicycle and pedestrian path. We redesigned and retrofitted 31 existing bridges, replacing four and rehabilitating 27 others, while addressing emergency vehicle loading, drainage, rail-clearance requirements, drop-off protection, fencing, and long-term service life.

Stevens Student Housing and University Center Third Floor Pedestrian Bridge

Hoboken, NJ
Provided steel connection design and erection means and methods for the glass-enclosed third-floor pedestrian bridge connecting Stevens Institute of Technology’s two residential towers. We used staged construction analysis to validate a nontraditional erection sequence without shoring towers, helping secure first-pass approval from the Engineer of Record.

Saw Mill River Daylighting and Environmental Restoration

Yonkers, NY
Supported the daylighting and environmental restoration of the Saw Mill River with civil, marine, hydraulic, and site engineering services. Our work included public access improvements, pedestrian walkways, retaining walls, terraces, small pedestrian bridges, riverside stabilization, utility coordination, and storm and sanitary drainage design.

Walkway Over the Hudson – Bridge Conversion

Poughkeepsie, NY; Highland, NY
Helped convert the historic Poughkeepsie-Highland railroad bridge into the world’s longest elevated pedestrian bridge. We provided underwater and climbing inspections, structural repair design, construction engineering, pedestrian walkway conversion support, and later designed a 21-story steel elevator to improve public access to the bridge.

Frederick Shared Use Path

Frederick, MD
Performed surveying, civil engineering design, permitting, and structural engineering for a 10-foot-wide pedestrian bridge, 14-foot-wide tunnel, and 0.4-mile shared-use path in Frederick, Maryland. Our design helped pedestrians and cyclists traverse obstacles including a highway and flowing creek while improving connections between the Golden Mile, Rock Creek Trail, Waterford Park, Baker Park, Carroll Creek, and downtown Frederick.

Battery Park Ferry Terminal

Manhattan, NY
Provided structural and marine engineering for the permanent floating ferry terminal at Battery Park, the largest facility of its kind in the United States. We engineered the terminal from schematic design through construction administration, incorporating pedestrian walkways, static and dynamic analysis, marine restraint systems, and ongoing inspection and maintenance design support.

City of Laurel On-Call Civil Engineering Services

Laurel, MD
Provided on-call civil engineering services for City of Laurel public infrastructure projects, including trail repairs, trail extensions, roadway and sidewalk improvements, drainage design, permitting, inspections, environmental assessments, and surveying. Our work included improvements at Granville Gude Park and other city infrastructure projects, with pedestrian bridge design included among the firm’s supporting services.

Engineering Transmitter Park on Greenpoint’s Waterfront

Brooklyn, NY
Provided civil, marine, waterfront, and pedestrian bridge design services for Transmitter Park on Greenpoint’s waterfront. We developed an alternative pier concept using pods and connecting bridges, along with a waterfront promenade, bridge over a tidal basin, pathways, shoreline improvements, drainage, permitting, and stormwater design to transform a former industrial waterfront site into public open space.
