Entertainment Engineer, Nadia Itani, E.I.T. returned to her alma mater, Emerson Public School in New Jersey, to give students a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Broadway engineering. Following a class trip to see The Outsiders – a show our team supported – Nadia spoke with middle and high school students about the exciting, behind-the-curtain role engineers play in bringing productions to life.
From load-in logistics and structural modifications to designing creative rigging and show-supporting systems, Nadia shared how niche technical expertise powers the world of Live Entertainment; and even gave students a glimpse of that work in action with a clip from her Mission Unstoppable episode!
Opportunities like this help showcase the many ways engineering shapes live experiences and inspire the next generation to explore niche areas of the industry.
