As thousands of runners crossed this year’s NYC Marathon finish line, one structure quietly supported the moment: the Media Bridge above the finish chute. While spectators focused on the athletes, our Entertainment Engineering team ensured the elevated platform remained safe, stable, and ready for race day.
Working with BNW Rigging, we provided structural design and review services for the temporary Media Bridge, which gives broadcasters and photographers the vantage point needed to capture the race’s defining moments.
This year’s installation drew on our team’s experience with temporary event structures, fast-paced site coordination, and on-the-spot design adjustments. Delivering a reliable platform in a crowded, time-sensitive environment requires careful planning, quick problem-solving, and close collaboration with on-site partners.
The Media Bridge is one component of the finish-line infrastructure our engineers support each marathon season, helping document the determination and resilience of every runner crossing the line.
Congratulations to all the participants on an incredible race!
