WTC Oculus Holiday Display

McLaren Engineering Group provided engineering services for a 78,000-square-foot multilevel centerpiece to be put on display at the World Trade Center’s (WTC) Transportation Hub, the Oculus, in New York, NY for the holiday season.

The McLaren Difference: Applied Ingenuity

McLaren was engaged by WorldStage and Bentley Meeker Lighting & Staging to engineer the overhead truss assembly supporting the holiday lighting and projection equipment, as well as the temporary rigging points anchored to the WTC building’s roof rib structure. McLaren designed the rigging to have an elegant appearance to accommodate a wider range of use.
