Vallejo Marine Terminal

McLaren Engineering Group provided marine consulting and engineering services for the design of California’s Vallejo Marine Terminal and developed in-depth construction documents. McLaren’s work helped develop this existing site into a functioning bulk handling marine terminal. The first phase of construction consisted of building a 500-foot pile-supported wharf, followed by the extension of the structure.

The McLaren Difference: Applied Ingenuity

The McLaren team developed and adjusted environmental loads—including wind, wave and current—to reflect the greater wind fetch at the Vallejo Marine Terminal. McLaren also designed a geotechnical exploration program and specified the required engineering parameters in a geotechnical report. Performance and load criteria for mooring and berthing were also developed.
