Central Park Westside Playgrounds

McLaren Engineering Group aided in the design development of seven of Central Park’s Westside Playgrounds by conducting topographic surveys. 14 acres on the west-side perimeter of Central Park were surveyed to show pavement changes, walls, ramps, curbs, fences, tree locations and base elevations. This helped the designers determine where to locate the play equipment.

McLaren provided control surveys with checks of elevations and horizontal positing for the construction of these playgrounds. The firm’s checks were provided to the contractors daily to assuring playground equipment accuracy.
