Renovation

New Stage Rigging System
for Historic St. Petersburg Coliseum

McLaren is proud to help the historic St. Petersburg Coliseum, also known as “The Finest Ballroom in the South,” with the design of a new stage rigging system. The structure, which was originally built in 1924, now hosts banquets, concerts, plays, weddings, and special events. The new modern steel framed stage rigging system, with wire rope cables, replaced the Coliseum’s wood framed hemp rigging system. This new system is used to hoist stage battens supporting lighting and signs for events or to fly scenery for plays. McLaren was pleased to help the Coliseum in St. Petersburg, Florida bring in the New Year with its updated, safer, and more effective stage rigging system!
