McLaren assisted The Metropolitan Opera in New York City with all its performer flying effects for the 2018-2019 season, including for the most ambitious staging in Met history, the Ring Cycle. McLaren provided engineering services for the original Ring Cycle, including concept development, mechanized stage equipment, and facility structure and lift reinforcing. In addition to working on the performer flying effects for the restaged Ring Cycle, McLaren provided engineering services to facilitate sound mitigation through assembly detail improvements. The show has been called opera’s greatest epic, featuring four parts and a run time of 16 hours!
