The Great Elephant Migration USA has begun its journey, starting in Newport, RI, and making its way to NYC in September! This touring art installation, featuring over 100 life-size handmade Indian elephant sculptures, aims to increase awareness about migratory animals and encourage coexistence with wildlife. McLaren Engineering Group’s Entertainment Division played a crucial role in making this possible.
Our team provided stability analysis for the sculptures and supported the Elephant Family organization in generating feasible base anchorage options at all current and future stops of the Elephant Migration. Each sculpture, a life-size replica of an actual Asian elephant, required diligent and creative engineering to ensure stability across various terrains, including, but not limited to, paved parking lots, grass-covered fields, and sandy beaches.
Future Great Elephant Migration Exhibits
The project not only combines art and engineering, but also supports global conservation efforts. Each sculpture represents the vast space and freedom real elephants need to thrive in the wild, bringing attention to the pressing need for habitat preservation and global conservation efforts.
As the Great Elephant Migration makes its way across the USA – it may be coming to a city near you soon!
