Ferry Point Park, an abandoned former landfill in the Bronx, has undergone monumental transformations to become a community waterfront green space that serves as a sanctuary for all. McLaren provided extensive civil and marine engineering services to develop the ferry landing and redevelop the site’s parking lot and waterfront pathway which accommodates a brand-new shuttle service.

As part of ongoing QC, each week, Lynn Li, McLaren Civil Engineer and certified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspector, performs a site SWPPP inspection to ensure that all soil erosion and sediment control measures are up to standard, which in turn limits the amount of pollutants leaving the site through stormwater.
