Formula E in Brooklyn This Weekend

McLaren was proud to partner with Formula E Racing to help bring a world class sporting facility and racetrack to Brooklyn this weekend! Several of our divisions including Civil, Marine, and Survey worked together to make this project possible.

The challenge? Converting a cruise-line terminal into a race course with room for as many as 20,000 spectators!

A Buoyant New York City Pier Is Set for a Major Makeover

Crews are upgrading and building onto a 1950s-era pier without disturbing three buoyant caissons supported by timber piles. The pier is designated as a nationally historic structure and will be home to Google offices this fall.

NYSSPE Awards McLaren Employees

McLaren Presents at the International Bridge Conference

McLaren’s Marine Division Technical Director, Vahid Zanjani, presented ”Design of a Long-Span Suspension Bridge Anchorage System Located in a High Seismic Region and Susceptible to Large Cargo-Vessel Impact” at the International Bridge Conference in National Harbor, Maryland yesterday. The presentation and corresponding paper highlighted some of the unique design and construction aspects of the proposed anchorage system for a long span suspension bridge (e.g. poor soil conditions and meeting the challenging seismic and vessel collision conditions).
