Homeport Carnival Xcaret Design-Build

Carnival Corporation has developed a new homeport cruise ship-docking facility in Xcaret, Mexico. The facility contains three piers and five berths to accommodate both cruise ship docking as well as RoR0 (Roll-on, Roll-off) operations.

Design-Build Services

McLaren developed performance drawings and specifications for Homeport Carnival Xcaret design-build bid package.

McLaren provided marine, site/civil, and utility infrastructure proportioning engineering support services for this new homeport cruise ship-docking facility.

The project encompassed complete project life-cycle components – from initial design studies to preparation of performance specifications and drawings, bidding services, construction support services, construction inspection services, and project close-out. The design-build contract involved the development and definition of construction performance requirements and monitoring of the performance of the contractor to assure compliance.
