Remember the time we…made cranes dance?

As part of our 40th Anniversary celebration, we’re revisiting some of our favorite projects and moments from the past 40 years.

2007: The Sentosa Cranes in Singapore, are a kinetic installation unlike any other in the world. With each “bird” weighing in excess of 150,000 pounds, the two 100-foot tall robotic sculptures perform a choreographed mechanical dance. Our favorite thing about helping to bring these cultural icons to life was the challenge of developing structural and mechanical approaches that could withstand a highly unfavorable environment while delivering a reliable showcase event.
