Quaspeck Park Drainage Improvements

The Town of Clarkstown’s Department of Environmental Control retained McLaren Engineering Group to provide engineering services to improve the drainage conditions within Quaspeck Park in Valley Cottage, NY. McLaren was tasked with creating a comprehensive development plan for the storm drainage – to mitigate streets and adjacent residential lots that were experiencing problems with surface and subsurface drainage conditions.

The McLaren Difference: Applied Ingenuity

McLaren performed a feasibility study on the area and developed a solution that allowed the flow to be split between the existing 36-inch diameter drain and a 48-inch diameter drain, eventually discharging north of Rockland Lake Road. McLaren performed a topographical and boundary survey and used this data to create the construction documents to update the drainage within the community.
