Candytopia, a Themed Attraction

McLaren’s entertainment team served as EOR (Engineer of Record) for the zipline ride featured inside Candytopia’s New York location at 111 W 32^nd Street, at the corner of 32^nd Street and 6th Avenue.

Aside from providing structural review, the themed attraction also required our engineers to provide a full safety analysis, maintenance and inspection criteria, and the required signage and warnings.

It isn’t everyday an engineer gets to load test one of their designs, but at this Willy Wonka-esque candy themed store our team members brought calculations to reality while experiencing rider motion and deceleration firsthand by soaring across the 72-foot-long catenary cable zipline at Candytopia!
