Surveys

McLaren’s in-house hydrographic survey and mapping team is an integral first step for determining if a project in or near water is conceptually and physically feasible.

Pre and Post Construction Dredging Surveys

Conducting thorough hydro and topographic surveys before and after construction to ensure proper volume and location of sediment placement, as well as overall project success. Surveys help in monitoring the effectiveness of beach nourishment efforts.

Dredging Survey Experience

Dredging of New York Port

McLaren developed plans and specifications for the dredging bid and performed a pre and post dredge survey to determine the contractor’s compliance with the specification.

Using the results of the pre-dredge Bathymetric Survey, we created a dredging plan depicting existing conditions and the final required contours.
Provided technical performance specifications for environmental testing as well as dredge disposal.
Conducted multi-beam surveys to map and collect data for debris removal.
Performed a post-dredge Bathymetric Survey in order determine the contractor’s compliance with specification.
