Congratulations to Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board, Malcolm McLaren, PE, named New York State Society of Professional Engineers 2023 Engineer of the Year!

The award recognizes Mal’s outstanding contributions to further advance the engineering profession from helping foster STEM talent through early education and awareness with the Engineering Expo to being involved in various industry organizations aimed at bettering new policy decisions and ways to harness the exponential acceleration of technology.

After founding McLaren Engineering Group in his basement in 1977, Mal’s entrepreneurial spirit quickly propelled the firm to the forefront of the AEC industry. His visionary ability to create progress has set the foundation that enabled McLaren Engineering Group to provide an unparalleled line of quality services for well over 20,000 projects and make positive impacts on communities worldwide. His work now has grown to help take the engineering profession into the future.
