Kansas City’s Three Light - Set to Start Construction Next Month

Construction is scheduled to begin on THREE LIGHT, the newest urban-luxury residential tower in Kansas City. The redevelopment of a surface parking lot in Missouri’s Power & Light District, THREE LIGHT, will be transformed into a 26-story mixed-use development consisting of 288-unit apartments atop a seven-story parking garage which will connect by skyway bridge to its shorter sibling building, TWO LIGHT.

McLaren, who was also behind the 24-story award-winning, TWO LIGHT development, is providing full-service structural engineering design services for THREE LIGHT using a similar design approach, constructed as a concrete post-tensioned flat plate structure with concrete shear walls.

Imagined by Hord Coplan Macht and developed by Cordish Companies, groundbreaking is set to begin May 2021 and expected to be completed by May 2023.
