50 Hudson Yards Reflector Wall

Spanning an entire city block, 50 Hudson Yards will be NYC’s fourth largest commercial office tower when completed in 2022. This new construction development designed by Foster + Partners, has 2.9-million-gross-square-foot and stands over 1000 feet tall and aspires to be a defining symbol of the workplace of the future. The LEED Gold-designed, new construction development creates an environment flooded with natural light, multiple dedicated lobbies and large amenity-laden sky lobbies, light elements play an important role in its design inside and out.

Reflector Wall

At the building’s facade peak, McLaren supported BAMCO inc. in the construction of a 32,000 square foot custom stainless-steel panel “reflector wall”. Developed with a hidden lighting system atop the skyscraper, light will shine onto the metal panels, creating an iconic luminary effect. Our facade team provided all the facade metal panel engineering for the rooftop structure and well as some support steel.
