Temporary Staging Structures For Nathan’s Hotdog Eating Contest

Arguably America’s most iconic July 4th tradition, this year’s Nathan’s Famous Hotdog Eating Contest saw defending world champion Joey Chestnut break his own record, devouring 76 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes! Since 2010, McLaren has provided structural entertainment engineering services, code compliance, and inspection of the iconic Coney Island event’s temporary staging structures including the main stage, judge’s platform, press stage, and media platform.

The annual pop-up typically takes place right outside Nathan’s restaurant, but the 2021 competition moved down the boardwalk opting for more space by hosting the event on the field at Maimonides Park, the stadium home of minor league baseball team the Brooklyn Cyclones.
