Hudson Theatre Renovation

Hudson Theater Inside.jpg

The Hudson Theatre, now tagged as the oldest and the newest theater on Broadway, re-opened on February 11th for previews as Broadway’s 41st playhouse. After originally opening in October of 1903 on 44th Street and being used for Broadway productions for 60 years, the theater left the Broadway world and was used for other small performances and events. Luckily, rather than being doomed to demolition, the exterior and interior of the building were given Landmark status by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission, allowing it to now make its triumphant return as a Broadway playhouse.
