NYSSPE Awards McLaren Employees

McLaren is proud to announce The Rockland County Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers honored our President and CEO, Mal McLaren, with the Engineer in Education Award, and Vice President and Director of Entertainment Engineering, Bill Gorlin, with the Distinguished Engineer of the Year Award for 2016-2017. Congratulations, Mal and Bill!

Oak Tree Road Bridge 2015 Public Works Project of the Year

McLaren is proud to announce we received the 2015 Public Works Project of the Year Award from the American Public Works Association, New York Metropolitan Chapter; for our design and construction inspection work on the replacement of Oak Tree Road Bridge.

Teachers Village

Teachers Village is a planned workforce housing project in Newark, New Jersey. The $120 million plan is transforming four blocks downtown from Maiden Lane to Pearl Street into a village built around three (3) charter schools and includes 224 homes marketed to educators. The Village holds promise for creating a nurturing community for students and teachers, jumpstarting a local retail corridor and boosting the city’s civic life.

Guinness Book of World Records - Largest Hammock

King Digital Entertainment (also the creators of “Candy Crush”) celebrated the release of “Paradise Bay”, their new tropical-themed mobile game, by setting the Guinness World Record for the Largest Hammock. Actress Malin Ackerman attended this record setting event held at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.

McLaren Helped Reopen the Historic Oak Tree Road Bridge

McLaren provided a plethora of services to assist in the rehabilitation of this historic bridge. Services included topographic and ROW surveying, geotechnical investigations, hydraulic analysis, traffic control plans, community outreach, bridge design, permitting, construction documents, construction administration, and resident engineering services.
