McLaren Sponsors NATEAC Conference in Manhattan

McLaren Engineering Group was a proud sponsor of the North American Theater Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) held in Manhattan on July 20-21, 2008. NATEAC is a conference of industry professionals, ranging from architects and engineers to consultants, manufacturers and end-users, which seeks to promote communication and a higher level of understanding between those professionals in order to further the progress of the entertainment industry.

NATEAC had more than 50 panelists speaking at more than 20 sessions. One of these panelists was McLaren’s own William Gorlin, VP of the Entertainment Engineering Division. Mr. Gorlin, with over 21 years of experience in the areas of structural analysis and design of scenic, entertainment and amusement structures, staging, rigging, buildings, show action equipment, and other frameworks, spoke on "Structural Issues in a Motorized World."

The conference was an unmitigated success, attended by over 250 national and international leaders in the theater industry, including architects, theater consultants, engineers, specialty theatrical contractors, equipment suppliers, owners, educators, and many others. McLaren looks forward to participating in the next event.
