WEST NYACK, N.Y., April 30, 2014 – McLaren Engineering Group today reported its revenue increased 40% over the past year, moving it up 85 positions to rank 333 in Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 500 ranking of the largest engineering firms in the United States. The 37-year-old privately held firm headquartered in West Nyack, N.Y., is the third greatest ranking gainer in the U.S. and holds top spot of all Eastern engineering firms in the ENR 500 ranking.

McLaren’s President and CEO, Malcolm G. McLaren credits his award-winning firm’s surge in revenue to its diversity of engineering service offerings, talent leadership in marine, structure, waterborne and entertainment engineering and its continued work in post-Hurricane Sandy projects throughout New York and New Jersey.

Mr. McLaren said he was particularly proud of the fact that its growth has been all organic and not the result of mergers or acquisitions. In 2013 McLaren expanded its New York City and Baltimore, Md. offices and opened a new location in San Francisco. Other offices include Middletown, Conn., and Orlando, Fla. McLaren Engineering Group saw gains in a majority of its eight engineering divisions: Structural; Site/Civil; Bridge, Highway & Rail; Entertainment; Marine; Waterborne/Transportation; Surveying and Forensics.

“Our ability to consistently deliver the high quality of client service, the ingenuity of our designs and the superb talent of our entire McLaren team is the driving force behind our record-setting growth,” Mr. McLaren said.

McGraw Hill-owned ENR magazine is considered the “bible” of engineering and construction industry and publishes the Top 500 list annually in April, which ranks the 500 largest U.S.-based firms, both publicly and privately held, based on design-specific revenue.
