Quaspeck Park Drainage.jpg
Project Overview:
McLaren was retained by the Town of Clarkstown to provide surveying and site civil engineering services because several streets and adjacent resident lots in Valley Cottage were experiencing problems with both surface and subsurface drainage. Project locations included Charles Boulevard, Helene Road, Quaspeck Boulevard, East Mary Lane, West Mary Lane, and Rock Drive. To correct these deficiencies, modifications and improvements to the existing storm drain system were required.
McLaren's Role:
McLaren’s surveying services included a boundary and limited topographic survey of four (4) parcels of land for the creation of drainage easements in favor of the Town of Clarkstown. The limited topographic survey included all utilities in the above-mentioned predefined area. Trees with a diameter greater than 8” within this predefined were located and mapped. Off-site drainage structures leading from NYS RT. 9W to Rockland Lake were also e located and mapped for Civil Design purposes. McLaren’s site/civil engineering services associated with this drainage improvement project included a site investigation, environmental assessment, hydraulic analysis, drainage analysis, drainage design, public outreach and construction administration.
