If you want to know who makes the miracles happen on stage at theaters and concert venues these days, you need only look in your Hudson Valley backyard.

Nyack-based McLaren Engineering has been providing key engineering services for stage assemblies and is currently working on three current concert tours: the Jonas Brothers World Tour (see photo at right); Britney Spears' "The Circus Starring Britney Spears," which comes to Madison Square Garden Aug. 24-25; and U2's "360-Degree" tour, which visits Giants Stadium Sept. 24-25.

The U2 stage setup includes inner- and outer-ring stages connected by two transparent and movable bridges that produce a more intimate experience for the audience.
