Banana Town Homes and Condominiums

Project Overview: 
McLaren was retained to provide structural design and engineering services for the construction of four (4) residential clusters along the Hudson River. Each cluster is approximately 200 feet wide and varies in length from approximately 200 feet to 300 feet and has a six-story condominium tower and four-story town homes linked into a U-shape. Roadways pass between the clusters and between the town homes and the riverwalk.
McLaren's Role: 
The southern most clusters (clusters I and II) have an elevated terrace structure between the condominium tower and the town homes, with parking at grade level below. The northernmost clusters (clusters III and IV) have parking at grade level between the condominium tower and the town homes, but no elevated terrace. The existing building on site and its foundation has been demolished. CMC (Controlled Modulus Columns) piles will be used for the foundation for the roadways and town homes instead of the conventional H-Piles.
