N-Sync No Strings Tour Stage

NSync Tour Stage
Project Overview:
McLaren provided structural engineering review and analysis services for the portable mechanized stage platform used during the summer tour for ‘N Sync. The show featured a 10-foot x 18-foot mobile, elevated stage, designed to present the five lead performers of the group on a translucent platform, approximately 10-feet above the heads of the audience.
McLaren's Role:
McLaren designed the unit to rise up from the stage level on a scissor lift, rotate, and travel on a chassis into the aisles, adjacent to the audience seating areas. McLaren also provided structural analysis, and periodic on-site observations of the mobile platform system, and assessed the stationary stage and “ribbon” style performer lifts.
