Project Overview:
McLaren was retained by Metro-North Railroad to provide engineering services associated with the timber tie replacement of the following three bridges: Bridge NH14.37 over Columbus Avenue in Mount Vernon, NY; Bridge NH15.06 over Fifth Avenue in Pelham, NY; and Bridge HA29.52 over Davis Brook in Thornwood, NY. The objective of the project was to ensure the structural integrity and safety of open deck bridge timbers on each of the bridges. The approximate number of bridge timbers replaced was 374.
