The Club at Briarcliff Senior Housing

Site Plan for The Club at Briarcliff Senior Housing
Project Overview:
McLaren was retained to provide engineering services for the development of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) plan at the former Kings College site in Village of Briarcliff Manor, NY. When complete, the 58-acre complex will include 385 units of independent and assisted living space and various other facilities – all dropped into a site that features considerable terrain, drainage and utilities challenges.
McLaren's Role:
As prime consultant, McLaren is providing full site/civil engineering services necessary for the site development and permitting support, and will perform construction administration services. The initial phase included review, assessment and analysis of existing site information and the architect’s plans. McLaren assessed the architect’s conceptual plans with regard to layout, circulation, grading, drainage and utilities, and prepared a zoning analysis. Significant was determining that the project fell within the New York SEQRA findings of the prior approval on the site. McLaren is now developing site plan approval drawings. The approval process is expected to be complete in 2008, making way for a construction start date in 2009.
