As generations change, so too do land use preferences. One new trend: incorporate a site’s natural landscape into the layout. Modern mixed-use facilities, such River Park Center in Yonkers, NY, are prime examples; the Saw Mill River, channeled underground for decades, is to be daylighted and will run directly through the urban complex. As demonstrated by our work at River Park and other projects, McLaren’s Site/Civil Division is on the cutting edge of such developments in site planning.

Site analysis and engineering provide the basis for the viability and success of any project. Due to increasing local, state, and federal regulations, getting a project off to a favorable start has become even more challenging. To assist in this process, we are able to provide owners, developers, and agencies with the appropriate engineering expertise and tools to develop land use concepts and plans.

Our surveying and geotechnical services augment our already comprehensive site development services, which include site plans, drainage analysis, grading, zoning, stormwater analysis, and erosion control.
